Martial Arts Technology Provides Incredible Breakthrough

Old Martial Arts Technology vs New

Good afternoon!
Let’s talk about the old martial arts technology,
and what it may be doing to you.

Old technology is drilling until your feet fall off.
Until your bones shake with fatigue
and your bone bruises are turning into calcium deposits.
Grrr.

Now,
to be truthful,
I like this method.
Heck,
I love this method.
I love to start a work out
and drive myself until I am ready to drop.
Like a tired dog my head droops,
and I know my teeth work just fine…

BUT,
what is new martial art technology?
Well,
let’s consider a few things.
A couple of hundred years ago,
there was no public education in China.
People learned how to talk by duplicating their parents,
and that was it.
No math,
except what you needed to barter.
And,
if you did get an official education,
in China it was the five excellences.
calligraphy, painting, poetry, t’ai chi, and medicine
No math to speak of,
nothing like physiology, grammar, science, physics,
etcetera, etcetera…
And the really rich people sent their children to western schools to get educated.
Sure,
I’ve probably overstated it,
but not by much.

So,
martial arts were learned by monkey see monkey do,
and nobody ever thought to examine other sciences
to see where they overlapped
and how those other sciences could be used
to understand martial arts.

When I matrixed I began using a form of logic,
a form based in Boolean algebra.
I compared body motion to angles and stresses in physics,
such things as building bridges,
flying airplanes,
and so on.
Of course,
at the core,
I still push the hard work out,
the do it till you drop dead approach.
But I propose that people understand what they are doing
BEFORE
they work out.
Understanding is the prime ingredient.
Would you become a world class musician if you copy catted
your favorite rock stars?
No.
You would just become good imitations,
at best.
If you want to become a good musician
you have to study such things as harmonics,
scales, and understand how vibrations work,
and so on.
Would you become the next Einstein
if you hand copied all his books and notes?
Nope.
Nothing new there,
just a repeat of what has been done.

To be a real artist you must be able to create.

So why don’t people do this in the martial arts?
And they really don’t.
They argue that their style is best,
without experiencing other styles.
They see a guy work out,
so they assume they know what he is doing.
Heck,
I even get people get upset with me.
They get angry when I show them a different way of doing things.
They are so regimented in old styles,
so ingrained with monkey see monkey do
that they cannot learn.
They can’t actually compare and contrast data.
They can’t see how the body can be made to support energy like a bridge,
using the same principles.
They believe in chi as a mystical thing
that people get when they get old,
if they are faithful copycats,
and they never see that chi
is a subject with scientific rules.
They can’t apply science to chi.
But they hold on to their last promotion
because it makes them an authority,
without having to really understand anything.

Now,
here’s the thing,
you doubt me.
Words like ‘snake oil’ come to mind.
Internet scamster,
another get rich quick scheme.
And so on.

I began selling martial arts by mail order
in magazines back in the 80s.
I went internet in 2002,
check the ‘wayback machine’
if you doubt.
I have a solid rep,
and offer a complete money back guarantee.
If a course is not as I describe it,
you get your money back.
Period.

Since the 80s I have refunded money maybe five or six times.
That’s all.
Not once or twice a year…
BUT ONCE OR TWICE A DECADE!
Now that is a statistic!

So,
check out the Matrix Karate page.
Read it carefully,
then order the course.
You will get more than you paid for.
You will get more than you expect.
You will get something you NEVER expected:
a scientific approach
that makes the martial arts ten times easier to learn.
You will get a way of looking at the martial arts,
that makes sense of ALL martial arts.

The alternative,
what you get if you don’t check out Matrix Karate,
and all my other courses,
is the same old same old,
that people have been grinding at for hundreds of years.
Sure,
you will get better.
Slowly and surely.
And you might even achieve mastery
before you get too old.
Maybe.

The course is here…

Martial Arts Punch Lines, and a hard truth.

Newsletter 888

Martial Arts Punch Lines (get it?)

Happy Labor Day!
I think I’ll labor at the martial arts today.

A quick word,
I had inadvertently taken my list of courses off the site.
This is the full list,
so examine the left sidebar on the Monster,
everything is there.

Now,
came across these little gems,
thought I would share…

You’re not outnumbered,
you’re target rich.

When people ask me what I do for a living:
‘I teach people how to maim and kill.’

Bruises are really just temporary tattoos.

Kung Fu has been curing ADHD
since 500 AD

For my birthday
I want pound cake and punch.

violence isn’t always the answer,
but it sure is an option

the best part of a joke is the punch line.

Okay.
Nuff frivolity.
Let’s get serious.

It is true,
a picture is worth a thousand words.
and,
that being true,
a video is worth a thousand thousand words.
But,
here’s the cruel truth…
you still have to understand what the words mean.

I remember when Karate first hit the shores,
the Japanese said:
‘it will take an American three lifetimes to understand the martial arts.’
And,
that’s true,
if you don’t understand the words.

For me,
chi was the big mysterious.
Thought about it,
tried to figure it out,
made no sense.
Then I started looking up words like:
energy,
force,
spirit,
intention,
will power,
and so on.
And,
suddenly,
it all made sense.

https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=uM1ubDwUxa4

Tell me I don’t understand chi.
Heck,
I can project it outside my body.
You know the funny thing?
I wish somebody had told me
the power of understanding words
back when I was 19.
I would be moving cars,
not just putting out candles.
All my training would have changed,
gone in a different direction.

The power of words.

So,
here’s the whole story…

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/2f-matrixing-the-master-text/

How I came up with matrixing,
the evolution,
arts studied,
and so on.
All you have to do is understand the words.
But don’t worry,
I’ve included a few pictures to help you out.
Grin.

Okay,
have a great bunch of work outs this labor day.

And,
BTW
GO TEXAS!
To the degree that people rally round,
to the degree that government sits on the sidelines,
to that degree Texas comes back.

have a GREAT work out!

Training in Horse Stances for MORE Power in the Martial Arts!

Newsletter 864

A Simple Exercise for Sinking the Weight in the Martial Arts

Happy after Easter!
Hope you don’t run over any eggs
when you mow your lawn.
Yuck!

Okay,
here is one of the exercises I use,
especially for kids,
but great for anybody
who wishes to find
the true foundation of karate
or any other martial art.

Grounding.
It is when you sink your weight into the ground.
Simply,
you have to sink your weight,
to attach the machine that is your body
so that you can use that machine.
This is basic mechanics.

I am always,
when I teach forms,
telling people to sink their weight.
They have to bend both legs,
feel the weight,
let the weight reach the ground,
so that the tan tien will create energy.

You don’t reach the ground,
you have no energy.
You have no real energy building inside your legs.

It’s funny,
people doing boxing,
kick boxing,
modern tournament type freestyle,
they bounce.
They want to look like Bruce Lee.
But before Bruce,
everybody sank their weight,
shifted their weight between their feet
as they edged towards the opponent.
It was the gunfighter mentality.
Sink,
edge forward,
spring.

Nowadays,
unfortunately,
everybody has forgotten this.
Everybody wants to bounce.
Bouncing uses up muscles.
Sinking the weight creates…endless energy.
Energy that can be used to spring like a cat.

Okay,
the best stance for teaching this is the horse stance.
The horse stance can be used in freestyle,
quite easily,
but the true glory of the horse stance
is simply for the creation of energy.

So you have the kids face in a direction.
You say back, they pop their horse stance to the rear.
You say right, they pop it to the right side,
left is the other side, front is back to the front.

When I say ‘POP,’
that is key.
Here’s the secret,
you must NOT let the body raise in the air.
The head must not bob up and down.

You must ‘swap’ your feet
so fast that you don’t have time to fall,
and you must do so without popping up.
This is not an exercise in falling,
it is an exercise in moving so fast you don’t have time to fall.

The secret here is that you have to use the tan tien.
To properly pop your stance,
to move both feet so they start at the same time,
and land at the same time,
you must explode from the tan tien to make this happen.

simple exercise, eh?
And,
when teaching a class,
it’s sort of fun.
Kids love it.
They’ll bob up and down all over the place,
but you just go around and hold a hand over their head,
and tell them not to touch it.

Works every time.
Here’s a link to the actual forms and exercises that I use to build Chi.

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/4c-matrixing-chi-power/

Have some great tan tien exploding energy!
And a great work out!

Getting Smart in the Martial Art

Newsletter 850

Knowledge in the Martial Arts

Fantastic day to you!

Do you remember when you were in the fifth grade?
You were smarter than the fourth graders,
you could,
let’s be honest,
kick their little butts.
But those sixth graders…
man, they were big and mean!

And,
you realize that I have honestly depicted the martial arts.
This is the way the belt structure works,
just like grades in school.

Those purple belts,
they’ll never toughen up.
Little dweebs.
But those brown belts,
man!
They are mean!

But they aren’t bigger.
The sixth graders are bigger,
but the brown belts…they’re about the same size.

If you take a black belt and a green belt,
and you give them a bunch of tests,
push ups, sit ups,
that sort of thing,
there usually isn’t a great difference.

So what is the difference between belts?

The simple answer is:
the upper belts have better kicks and punches and stuff.

But there is a more important answer that most people miss out on.

Knowledge.

The upper belt has more knowledge.

But what is knowledge?

There’s car mechanic knowledge,
and farmer knowledge,
and mathematical knowledge.
All sorts of fields of knowledge,
but martial arts knowledge is different.

What I am talking about is the experiential knowledge.

For upper, upper belts,
it is simply referred to as ‘polishing.’
A guy doesn’t learn something new,
he ‘polishes’ his technique.

In other words,
he does something with more and more attention to detail,
and in that minutiae,
in that painstaking examination of motion,
is more knowledge.

Sometimes,
the differences of knowledge,
on that level,
seem inconsequential.
But,
let me tell you,
the differences,
the smaller they are,
are ginormous.

How do you know when somebody is going to do something
before they do it?

Today’s modern black belts
often can’t do this.
Yet this ability,
to tell what somebody was going to do
before they did it,
was considered normal
for a good black belt
a few decades ago.

But today’s modern black belts
are usually interested in running a school,
or somehow translating their activity into money.

Today’s black belts don’t actually work out much.

They teach,
and there is knowledge there,
but it is not the same thing
as creating silence around a technique
until you can see the technique
before it comes.

This is the knowledge of which I speak.

You do a technique
looking at it harder and harder
until you see some difference,
some odd thing
you never saw before,
and then you have a bit more knowledge.

Don’t get me wrong,
I’m not telling you teaching is wrong,
just that there is a field of knowledge
which teaching doesn’t plumb into,
and which isolating yourself into endless repetitions of a technique does.

Teaching provides a database of knowledge,
but you still have to build a high mountain on that database.

Okay,
so what does it feel like?
What does this higher knowledge look like?

I’m 68,
I teach a couple of hours a day,
but I work out intensely.
Sometimes not as much as I want,
but I still try to work out EVERY DAY!
To look at an inch,
and slice it into finer lengths.
To look at a kick
and find some awareness of body in it
of which I was not aware.

Let’s say I am doing a replacement kick.
Specifically,
stand in a front stance facing a bag or wall.
Now…

replace your front foot with your rear foot
and strike the wall with your front foot.

Both feet move at the same time,
fear to front at the same as front to wall.
The rear foot plants on the floor at the same time
as the front foot impacts upon the wall.

And you reverse the motion to the beginning and original posture.

Okay,
you do this,
and you do this,
you begin to appreciate
how the angles of the feet,
the muscles of the leg,
and all the minutiae
must come together in an instant.
And,
if you keep doing this and doing this,
maybe for years,
one day you will be watching your feet from above,
just watching,
sort of marveling,
and thinking,
‘Huh, that’s good, that’s working.’

No joy or pride,
just deeper appreciation,
a satisfaction for the days work
that nobody,
unless they do the martial arts for decades
will ever understand.

But here’s what I didn’t mention.
You watch your feet,
without taking your eyes off your target.

HUH?
HOW CAN THAT BE?
HOW CAN YOU WATCH BOTH THE FEET AND THE WALL YOU ARE HITTING?
DON’T YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE WALL TO SEE THE LEGS?

Here’s where it gets tricky,
but pay attention to what I’m about to say.

The eyes are a bio-mechanical device
through which you look.
They eyes don’t look.
They are the ‘binoculars,’
the ‘glasses,’
the ‘microscope’
and you have to ask this one important question…
who is looking through the microscope?

Who?

Who is doing the technique?

Who is operating your body?

If you are watching it from above,
without eyes,
then who are you?
What are you?

This is the knowledge of which I speak,
this is the higher levels of the martial arts,
lost in calisthenics and tournament training,
never seen by people obsessed with bullying groups of students.

So I kick,
and,
outside my body,
outside my eyes,
I watch the kick,
and in the watching comes a power unlike anything an earthling has ever imagined.

It makes me want to do martial arts every single waking moment
of every single day
for the length of my life.

And,
when you finally get that removed viewpoint,
I call it a ‘Neutronic Viewpoint,’
all sorts of things can happen.
Things that have nothing to do with the body.

You can fill a room with energy,
you can put it in a student to help him understand,
you can shoot it at an opponent to overwhelm him.

And yet this energy,
too,
can be sliced into infinity,
made to create a whole new and different body of knowledge.

As getting a black belt opens the door to new experiences and knowledge,
so does this achieving of a new viewpoint.

Now,
how do you get this knowledge and ability?

First,
you study,
and you DON’T STOP!

And,
you teach.
And you gather bits of knowledge,
whole arts if you wish
and you put them together as a whole.

Think,
what kind of a car would we have,
if the makers of tires believed that steering wheels weren’t important
because they weren’t tires?

You can’t toss out any part of the art
for any other part of the art,
you have to make everything come together in one picture.

So you study,
and you put the arts together through matrixing,
and you search for that unique outer viewpoint.

Seek,
as in…
‘he who seeks will find.’
You have to be that religious about it.

Okay,

Here’s a little birthday gift to you.
I don’t care if it’s not your birthday,
you were born sometime,
and if I missed your birthday,
then I’m making up for it,
here’s the gift.

http://www.monstermartialarts.com/MonsterJournal3.html

I don’t think the PayPal buttons work on it,
but maybe the links do,
have no idea.
If a button or link doesn’t work,
sorry,
nothing I can do about it.
But if you find something that works,
on this old website,
good for you.
I’ll honor it.

AND…
take a look at the last graphic in the mag.
It is an image of how the arts develop,
and it actually shows how people can be distracted and fall off,
even with the best of intentions.

So enjoy,
and remember what I said about…
‘work out, teach, and never hold yourself back.’

Have a great work out!
Al

Making the Martial Arts Intuitive

Newsletter 843

Intuition in the Martial Arts and a BIG win!

Good evening
and…
HANAKWANMASS!

monkey boxing lineage

Click on the cover!

Got lots of things today,
including a PHEEEnominal win from a Monkey Boxer.
So…
LET’S START!

First,
it is the month of HanaKwanMass,
and I should explain that to all you newbies
who only joined the newsletter in the last year.

HanaKwanMass stands for…
Hanukkah, Kwanza, and Christmas.
Political correctness is for idiots,
if somebody says Happy Kwanza to me,
I say Happy Kwanza back.
Skin color, religion,
those are just distinctions for the ignorant.
We all bleed red,
and I don’t care what you call your viewpoint
of the Supreme Power.
So
HanaKwanMass,
I reach everybody,
or offend everybody,
and the heck with political correctness.

Second,
the path of the martial arts
involves making a person intuitive.
So they don’t have to think,
but do the right thing,
without thinking about it,
automatically.
What matrixing does is do this FAST.

Look,
there’s a lot to matrixing,
and that’s because the martial arts have had a lot done to them.
People,
well meaning instructors,
have obscured the real arts.
They have hidden the path to intuition.
Matrixing merely cleans up the field,
derails mysticism
with scientific observation,
and heaping helpings of logic.

One of the first things I ever wrote about Matrixing…

If you want to teach somebody how to count,
you wouldn’t say…
4, 7, green, 5 elephant…and so on.
You would say…
1…2…3…4…
and so on.
The martial arts, because of politics,
religion, nationalism, personal interest,
and so on,
are a mixed mesh up of…
4, 7, green, 5 elephant…and so on.

Matrixing returns the art to the logic of 1…2…3…4…and so on.

But there’s so much more,
there is the intense scrutiny of basics,
the rearranging of form,
the alignment of techniques,
and the presentation of a scientific philosophy
so that people no longer get lost in the mysticism.

Unfortunately,
people who aren’t too smart,
can’t let go of the mysticism,
and they resist matrixing.

Invariably,
they haven’t studied it,
but they sure know how to badmouth it.

So,
third,
here’s a win.
It is a spectacular win,
comes from a Monkey Boxing student.
And I should say something about this.

Matrixing presents the logic,
can be applied to any art.

Monkey Boxing is me teaching.
I use matrixing,
and all the tools at my disposal.
You might see a drill I learned in the Kang Duk Won
45 years ago.
You might see a translation from Wing Chun to Aikido,
that I worked on 40 years ago.
You might see something I made up yesterday
to help one student make the leap
from the hard grind of repetition
to the joy of intuition.

It goes this way and that,
an intuition of teaching,
and I have no way of judging
whether my instincts are correct.
So to get a win like this
really makes my day.
Here’s the win…

Al,

I don’t have room here to say this big enough or joyfully enough— but if I did, I’d put a HUGE big “Whoopee!!”

I’ve finally been through the first few videos of the Monkey Boxing course.  I have a habit of watching all I have- this from a learning technique I picked up years ago called “super-learning” and it basically says to learn anything- first skim over the material, which creates a ‘sense of familiarity’ to the information.  I’ve done that.  I have been left on CLOUD 9.

I was injured in an accident in 99– got mashed between two HUGE trucks– my 16 ton tow truck and a 9,000 pound Ford Excursion SUV…. and after that, I took almost 3 years to learn just to walk semi-normally again and I still limp.   Lately, I’ve had more “arthritic” effects and stiffening as a result. The other effect it had on me is, for some reason, and no doctors have been able to tell me why- I’ve lost a LOT of memories of my life.  I can put all my past memories probably in a two or three hour video if I could transfer my thoughts to video.   My 5th degree black belt in Kenpo- for instance– is GONE.  I know it did it, and every so often get a little “glimpse” of things but doesn’t stay with me.  My bodyguard years- I have a few memories of that- and even the last few years since the accident, most of the past part is just not there.

I’m telling you this because I wanted to get back into a martial art- more for self- defense than the “art” part.  I’m 60, not in good health at all, but want to learn to take care of myself.

What I found, just watching the first 14 videos (for some reason I missed 13- which I’ll get when my internet is back on- my data limit ran out).. was that it IS exactly as you said– SO INTUITIVE!!  It’s a truly NATURAL grouping of actions and motions- and I easily flow with it.   I’m So excited, I could scream– probably will a bit later!! 🙂

I have begun, and will have to work consistently and SLOWLY, and let it build on its own.   I can see myself doing it all- very slowly- and with dynamic tension to get the motions correct and build the muscles for that particular move as the same time- then over time the drills will build the motion back into my muscle memory (which hopefully will stay with me since they ARE natural- logical  motions).   I don’t know how long it will take me to learn and get really good at this- and don’t really CARE– because I KNOW it works- my “spirit” says it WORKS… and my mind KNOWS it works- because it is NATURAL/LOGICAL and REAL. I’ve already put my Kenpo books, cds., and other stuff I was looking at BACK in storage– and won’t be needing them.  I’m not interested in spending another 5+ years just learning something that is NOT right for me anyway.   And I love that just doing the Forms is the only realy “workout” I need.   I DO a workout- have begun recently- called 7 miracle tiger moves.. which is dynamic tension in motion.. and LOVE them- they are very effective and are working.  I can just AD this system to my routine and learn Monkey boxing while “working out” at the same time!!  I LOVE this.

You can’t possibly KNOW just how happy this has made me.   I have no one to work out with–and the forms will take care of that.   Later, once I’m settled where ever I go- I want to get a dummy and stuff to work out on.  I’ll probably teach it to someone close by once I get settled too.

I DO have a lousy internet right now, though– it’s wirless through Net Zero– which is a good service– but the “hotspot” I got from them is crappy.  It’s a pad that I use for hotspot- and most of the time it kicks out right in the middle of whatever I”m doing- and I have to shut everything down and start over… and the signal strength is weak- so it doesn’t pick up well at all when it’s cloudy.   I’m ordering a better “hotspot” later- like Jan.  (my check this time is already spent on my truck).. Until then- I’m hoping all the videos you post are ARCHIVED– because I will miss from now to about the 5th…  That is why I want to DOWNLOAD them all to my hard drive– because I use up “data” limit time watching them directly and can’t do them over and over like here at home.

I thought I would have loads of questions– but don’t- because it IS so “intuitive” and natural (or maybe the kenpo and tai chi is still in there helping with that somewhere- just unconsciously).. and I just LOVE this..  I was seriously looking at JKD online, and Wing chun online– etc.– but not now– I’m Doing MONKEYBOXING totally!!  Forget all that other long time stuff!! 🙂

Anyway-  hope this wasn’t too long- but just wanted you to know- I have FOUND my “niche” in this!!!   THANK YOU.

David C

pS– There’s NO WAY I can possibly do the Monkey in a Box for a bit– I have trouble getting up and down out  of a regular chair lately… but I’m working on it..  and I’ve always had this “feeling” in me that there was “an answer” or a “secret” to ALL martial arts– and this is it!!

David,
thank you very much for the win.
Thank you for allowing me to share this,
I know it will inspire people.

And,
for all you guys and gals.

David’s points are very simple…

anybody can learn it,
it is intuitive,
it can be learned fast…
or slow.
Depends on what you need and want.

And,
I don’t wish to replace anybody’s arts,
but that sometimes happens.
I actually prefer that you take my material
and revitalize your own art of choice.

Here’s the key,
matrixing breaks apart and rebuilds,
it makes logic, and logic becomes intuitive.

Monkey Boxing is me teaching.
I teach matrixed art,
and I draw on ALL my experiences
to get the student to experience ALL of his abilities.

Now,
those of you who have signed up for Monkey Boxing,
you’ll get a Monkey Boxing newsletter shortly
giving you the heads up on the new videos,
and other things that are happening on the site.

Here’s two links…

to gear to ads on the internet.

Zen and Indian Stealth Skills in the Martial Arts!

Newsletter 834 ~ Subscribe now!

Were the Indians Masters of Their Own Brand of Zen?
part two

What a GREAT day!
Of course,
if you don’t work out,
you probably don’t really know what I mean.
Grin.

This is the second of a five parts series.
Subscribe to this newsletter to get all five parts.

Last newsletter I made the point
that the American Indian
was probably the finest warrior in the world.
To back this up,
simply consider their attitude towards that great zen concept…
silence.

In zen you create a silence so absolute
that your spirit can manifest,
that the truth of you becomes apparent.

Indians had this zen attitude towards silence.

The mere fact of walking,
as described in the first part of this series,
can be used to create silence.
But that is only the first stage.
Perhaps some of you remember an old adage
that only fools whistle?
A bit harsh,
a happy person should whistle,
but when you are hunting game,
or sneaking up to a battle,
you can’t whistle.

Instead,
you have to master the sounds of nature,
the tweet of a bird,
the call of a wolf,
the actual sound of shifting sand,
or wind in the rushes.

To master such sounds requires an appreciation of silence itself.

Consider this bit of zen:
it is not the sound you must hear,
but the silence.

Or,
as I am fond of telling students,
a candle in a coal mine
is brighter than the sun at noon.

Consider this when you are doing Tai Chi,
and don’t make a sound.

Consider this in Aikido,
and don’t let your circles make a sound.

Consider this in Karate,
or Tai Chi,
or other arts,
and quell the sound of your motion,
of your technique,
it is not just wasted energy,
but it distracts the mind
from the silence necessary
to manifest the spirit.

Here’s a link to Tai Chi,
which is a great art for pursuing silence.

How the Martial Arts Became a Science!

Martial Arts More than a Gimmick

martial arts system

A complete Martial Arts System! ~ Click on the cover!

Happy Heat Wave!
Happy Work out!
The only way to beat the heat
is to work out,
get so hot
that reality is cool.
It’s true.

I remember when scientists
tested Koichi Tohei
and he sped up and slowed down his heart.
Just sat there and thought about it,
and the scientist couldn’t believe their instruments.

So why not convince yourself it’s cool?

Let’s talk about matrixing.

I often say I invented matrixing,
but the truth is
I stumbled across it.
Another way of saying it is
I made so many mistakes,
there was nothing left
but the right way.
True.

Initially,
I used a truth table
out of Boolean algebra.
Lot of fun.
Lot of work.
Made everything fit.
Analyzed motion
until there was logic.

But you won’t see all the hoops I jumped through
when you order a course.
The martial arts are separated in specific geometries.
So you just order a course,
and the data is perfectly laid out,
and you go through a few arts,
and you have it.
All the geometries.

I have provided a few records of what I did.
One record,
for instance,
is
‘Matrixing: The Master Text.’

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/2f-matrixing-the-master-text/

This shows a few of the matrixes I drew,
and you can see the exact progression of steps I took.

Still,
if you want the absolutely nut
that grew the mighty oak,
you have to read Neutronics.
Philosophy, you see.

And here is where it really all came from.

One day I was sitting in my back yard,
tapping a piece of rebar on the cement,
Ting, ting, ting.
And,
suddenly…
TONG
it was like a giant gong went off.
I could see all reality.
I understood reality,
and a simple phrase jumped into my head.

‘For something to be true,
the opposite must also be true.’

That was it.
From that simple realization
and verbalization,
I grew neutronics,
which manifested in Matrixing.
But you would have to read
some books on Neutronics
to understand that process.

Okay.
the reason I tell you all this
is that there’s a lot of newbies to the newsletter.
And I know I’ve sort of said it in a quick nutshell,
but they need to understand
that there is more to this stuff than a gimmick.

When somebody says,
‘Oh,
that Al Case,
he’s a quack…’

Ask if they’ve read the testimonials at
MonsterMartialArts.com

When somebody says it’s a trick,
‘you can’t learn the martial arts that fast,’
Ask if they’ve ever seen me take a guy to black belt.
I do it in three months,
and the thing was recorded on
The Three Month Black Belt Course

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/black-belt-course/

And so on.
Really,
only believe your own eyes and ears.
Make your own decision.
If a guy says I am junk,
and he has never done my courses,
you better think about whether you should listen to him.

I’ve got 50 years experience,
I’ve written dozens of books
and produced many video courses.

All the proof is here.
You just have to want the truth.

It’s Quick and Easy…if you are willing to learn.

Okey dokey,
enough for you newbies.
Hope I’ve enlightened,
and not frightened.

I’m going to write about
MONKEYLAND!
in the next newsletter or two.
That’s a whole mother trip.

You guys and gals…

have a great work out!

Martial Arts Defeats Pervert!

Puttin’ Down the Creeps with Martial Arts!

Good Afternoon!
Heck,
GREAT AFTERNOON!
And a workout is what makes it great.
A workout makes you stronger,
mentally sharper,
calms you down,
makes a better you.

Got an interesting email today.
Michael S shared a win.
Here go…

So, odd story tonight. Contains mildly explicit textual content, just to give you fair warning.
I was on the subway earlier tonight and there was a guy harassing a young woman. They were both standing by the door and he poured a beer out right next to her. She walked away and stood between me and him. Then he pulled out his penis and muttered but didn’t get any closer. I got the cops on the line.
Sure enough, she got out and he followed her. I followed him. At this point I suspect he realized what I was up to because the 911 phones are garbage and I was having to yell his description and location into mine in order to be heard.
He started walking in circles and generally trying to shake me but he didn’t want to get too far from the subway since he’d probably gotten off before his stop to do his creeper thing. At one point he went up to the station platform and walked back down with me at the stairs. After this I decided to call it a night.
The police contacted me about twenty minutes later to ask where he had been heading when I last saw him. I told them but the trail was cold.
Now I would like to give out some advice. If you are a creep, please don’t be. If you are a bystander, involve yourself. If you are a target, look for help. Put as much distance between yourself and the aggressor as you can. If you see a guy glaring daggers at him, get on the other side of that guy. Don’t be afraid to call the police. They take a long time to get there but calling in the first place can be enough to settle the situation. If I hadn’t called the cops, the guy might have tried to fight or intimidate me. Just being on the phone was enough to keep him from even wanting to be within a block of me.
If anyone is still reading this, I’d like to thank Jorge for teaching me a thing or two about keeping my wits about me on the subway.

Fantastic win.

You know,
getting involved doesn’t have to be bloody.
It can just be smart.

Weapon attacks are no big thang with the Blinding Steel art!

You’ve got to understand
that bad guys don’t want to be caught,
so the slightest show of attention does them in.
You don’t have to challenge them,
just pull out your wallet and
pretend you’re talking into it.
They’ll freak,
won’t even perceive what you are doing.

And the cops do appreciate it.
Crimes stopped is what they are about.
It’s no fun mopping up the mess afterwards,
much better to stop the creep.

And,
for everybody,
the common citizen is not very brave.
They don’t know how to fight,
when things go different they freak,
so it is up to you.
It is up to the guy who does know how to fight.
It is up to the martial artist who has trained.
And what better use for your training, eh?

All right,
thanks,
Michael,
and here’s a link…

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/3a-blinding-steel-matrixing-weapons/

This course has weapons,
because the thug on the street will probably have a weapon.
It has empty hands that lead to takedowns.
It has speed training drills,
and ALL sorts of stuff.

Just the thing for the guy who wants
a bit of street oriented martial arts.

have a great work out!

The Martial Arts of 1776

Newsletter 817 ~ don’t forget to subscribe!

Why Fourth of July Celebrates the 2nd Amendment

Happy Fourth of July!
When Americans declared freedom.
When a country dedicated itself to liberty.
We are unique,
and it shows in our martial arts.

jeet kune do

Click on the cover!

The weapon of choice,
back in 1776 was the Brown Bess.
Brown Bess was a long, heavy
smooth bore musket.
It could fire one big ball,
or a bunch of smaller balls,
which made it into a sort of shotgun.

The name ‘Brown Bess’ was probably derived from the German

“brawn buss” or “braun buss”
meaning “strong gun” or “brown gun”

A dictionary of vulgar terms explained Brown Bess thusly,

“Brown Bess: A soldier’s firelock.
To hug Brown Bess;
to carry a fire-lock, or serve as a private soldier.”

Some say the term was originated by Rudyard Kipling…

In the days of lace-ruffles, perukes, and brocade
Brown Bess was a partner whom none could despise –
An out-spoken, flinty-lipped, brazen-faced jade,
With a habit of looking men straight in the eyes –
At Blenheim and Ramillies, fops would confess
They were pierced to the heart by the charms of Brown Bess.
— Rudyard Kipling, “Brown Bess,” 1911

At any rate,
Americans were required to own and keep a Brown Bess.
Can one image?
Americans being forced to have weapons?
The shame of it!

Accuracy for the Brown Bess was about 100 yards,
and then it was time for bayonet work.

Another weapon,
used by snipers,
was the Pennsylvania rifle.
This was a grooved barrel rifle
with accuracy up to 300 yards.

So the sniper had to steady a ten pound barrel
that extended 48 inches,
take a quick shot at a charging soldier,
and then,
should he miss,
use a little cold steel.
I’m not sure if the Pennsylvania Rifle had a bayonet,
but no self respecting infantryman
would go to war without a cutter.

Let’s talk about bayonets.
They were triangular.
They weren’t designed to cut,
but to tear and rupture.

So,
here is the scenario the founders of this country had to face.

A long line of British soldiers.
British soldiers that had mastered the art
of holding their position
and rapid firing in rows,
so that the colonists were decimated.

The rows would be marched to within 100 yards
and hell’s afire.

Behind the rows of colonists
the snipers used the Pennsylvania Rifle
to pick off British officers,
and thus create confusion in the ranks.

The colonists lined up and died,
and those that were left,
if they hadn’t run
(and they often did),
faced a manic charge of cold steel.

And,
make no mistake about it,
the British soldier of the time
was the absolute best soldier in the world.

He could shoot accurately and en masse.
He stood his ground.
He charged with fire in his eyes.

Interestingly,
until the Americans learned such discipline,
they relied heavily on guerrilla warfare.

They were like apaches.
They were like VC.
They were like ninja,
stealing in,
opening fire,
and running.
They hid behind trees and did their damndest.
Interesting times.

And,
here is the pipper.
The Revolutionary war was NOT popular.
Many people didn’t want to fight the British.
They were loyal to Britain,
and they worked against those fool colonists
who spouted this ‘liberty’ nonsense.

But we made it.
We managed to outlast
the best military in the world,
and then go on to create our own best military.
For over 200 years we have strived,
have risen,
have introduced the concept of liberty
to the rest of the world.

So happy Fourth of July.
It is a holiday that should be celebrated not just here,
but around the world.

And remember,
your ability to know and use violence,
whether it be in the forms of weapons,
or the choice of martial arts,
that is what protects you
and keeps you safe.

And for those of you who disagree,
check out

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts/3a-blinding-steel-matrixing-weapons/

It’s all about the fastest and most efficient way
to learn and use weapons
in the history of the world.

A Happy Fourth of July work out to you.
