Making the Body Glow with Power!

Let me give you a win, then tell you something that will change your life…

Shihan Al, my wife doesn’t allow me to even do Katas in my garage Dojo 100%, when she is home, because it shakes the house….Katas…no contact with anything but air and a cement floor. That is from 15 years of applying your concepts.

Now, that’s a win!
And when you understand it’s not mysterious. It does take time, even with Matrixing, but shaking a house like this is doable, and even easy. You just have to understand one thing.

Your body is a machine. A machine functions because of just a few basic-basics. These basic-basics, in the martial arts, are described in the beginning of most of my books.

Your body has two grounds, legs which lead to the ground and up and down which energy flows.

The energy goes to the Tan Tien (the one point), a point about two inches below the navel.

From the tan tien energy goes out to the rest of the body.

Assuming corrected poses the structure of the body transmits energy. The key is in ‘corrected.’ For correct stances you need such things as matrixing, body testing, and fanatical adheerence to the Basic-Basics.

And that’s it. Every time you do your form energy goes through your body, builds, and eventually shakes the world. Every stance connects your body to the ground, and the energy flows between the earth and the body. Every strike enables you to strike better, with more energy.

When doing Pa Kua Chang, to give you a real example of this procedure, I would walk slowly, slower than the videos on youtube show, and I would imagine a tennis ball going up my leg as I moved my weight onto the leg. When I lifted the leg I would imagine the ball going down my leg. When my legs were next to each other, midway through the step, i would imagine the ball in the tan tien. Within a few months my legs were totally changed, and my body was literally glowing with energy. People actually noticed this and asked what I had done to my skin.

I hadn’t done anything to my skin, I had just energized my body.

But it takes matrixed knowledge, and fanatical discipline to make this work. You can’t just do it a couple of weeks and wonder why things aren’t happening. Take a few months, do walking the circle and the postures as I recommend on the PKC video, then you’ll start to feel the massive changes within.

Here’s the obligatory ad…

Neutronic Thoughts: When you fight somebody you have to overcome two shields, his emotions, and your emotions.

Thanks for being martial artists, and may the Matrix be with you.

Have a great work out!

ROLLING FIST VIDEOS ADDED

Hi guys and gals,

I put a bunch of new videos on the Rolling Fists course.

If you have gotten the course,

check out the new videos.

I have a ton of videos I’ve never released,

so I picked through them for the Monkey Boxing ones

that had to do with the Rolling Fists.

The quality of the videos on the course isn’t always the best,

my camera was breaking down.

So these new videos were taken for the Monkey Boxing course,

with a new camera,

and I was more seasoned.

So if you bought the course,

go to the download page and scroll to the bottom.

Here’s a drill I do.

Better hand speed,

Increase the power,

and there are tons of techniques in this vid

which is on the Rolling Fists course.

MB 26 Matrixing Rolling the Wall

Okay,

Let’s talk.

I’m going to tell you how to hit harder.

It’s going to get a little weird,

but that’s okay.

You like weird, right?

You will notice in the drill above

that I hit the bag pretty hard.

But there’s a trick to it.

The trick is not to hit with muscle,

but to hit with the weight of the whole body.

I’ve said it before,

the secret of a punch

is how much weight you can transfer to your opponent.

Can you put enough weight on his body that it overwhelms his structure?

So, you practice moving forward a couple of inches.

You don’t focus on the muscles,

on the biceps,

on the arms,

on how hard you can hit.

You focus on moving your whole RELAXED body.

You practice having an unbendable arm upon impact.

An arm weighs twenty pounds.

You build the muscle, increase the speed

and you get to a hundred pounds,

but you’re working your ass off to make that happen.

If you just synchronize your fist,

so that impact lands with the weight of the whole body,

then your punch,

with very little effort,

is going to be more than you weigh.

You weigh 200 pounds?

Excellent.

With little training you have a 200 pound punch.

Plus.

Oh, you’re a frail little girl?

You only weigh a 100 pounds?

Don’t try to out muscle the big thug,

just move your body in so that your 100 pounds lands on him.

Plus.

If you watch me in the video above you can see exactly what I’m doing.

I don’t move with frantic speed,

I conserve motion, make tight circles, and shuffle forward.

Now it gets weird.

Want to make the punch even harder?

When you punch look inside your body

and look for what part of your body gives way.

Does the shoulder go up?

Practice keeping it low.

Don’t let your body part show the shock of impact.

Practice punching in this manner

until your body does not reveal any of the weight

that you are so freely giving.

Does the hip lag?

Work on the hip.

Does the elbow collapse?

Work on the elbow.

Do you see what I’m doing?

I’m using impact on my body when I punch as biofeedback

to see what part of my body needs to be improved.

You can’t do that with big, old muscle punches.

You can only do it with moving the whole body RELAXED.

Energy flows more efficiently through a body that is relaxed.

That is a matrixed fact.

Heck.

It’s downright neutronic!

And,

if you think about what I’m doing,

by relaxing and looking into specific body parts

I am tapping into internal energy.

It amazes people when I seem motionless,

stick out my fist,

and they fly away,

feeling like a horse has kicked them.

So use this concept when you’re practicing the Rolling Fists Drill,

which I also call Rolling the Wall,

Or Lop Sau (Rolling Fists) bagwork,

or whatever.

Guaranteed,

your punch will rival any ‘old master,’

and without all the work.

Don’t fight harder, fight smarter.

Okay,

Rolling Fists!

And thanks to those who have checked out Fixing Karate,

and the latest,

the Butteerfly book/Course

Both are on on Amazon.

HAVE A GREAT WORK OUT!

The Science of Government.

It’s really nothing more than applying matrixing to politics.

Matrixing + Politics = Sanity

Having a Power Martial Arts Punch!

Newsletter 792
The Power of the Punch

Work out quick!

Rain is coming in So Cal!
Of course, I can always work out in the house.
Simply draw a shoulder width square on the floor
and do your forms on the square.
Easy squeezy.
Teach you all sorts of things about motion in a closed space.

I am fond of telling people
that martial arts happen in a phone booth.
This is because you don’t need big, swinging punches.
You need short, little effective punches.
Consider the following facts.

If one punch comes from six feet away,
and the other comes from six inches away,
they will have the same power
if they have equal weight upon impact.
Of course,
you can see the one that is six feet away,
and it is easier to block.
The one that is six inches away,
that one is hard to block.

The power of a punch is measured not by speed or weight of arm,
but by how much weight is transferred
to the other body upon impact.
Understand this,
and you will have to drastically rethink
the value of muscles,
the angles inherent in the arm/body/etc.,
the value of speed,
and so on.

This last point was amply illustrated
by a fellow name of Matt Hamill.
Matt was a fighter in the UFC.
He was deaf,
and he wasn’t fast.
In fact,
he was slow.
But his punches were devastating,
they contained more weight than faster fighters.
Faster fighters would hit him,
but eventually he would land one of those hands of his,
and the other fighter would fold.

People think it is how hard you hit.
No.
It is how much weight goes into the target.
Weight is not dependent upon speed.
Yes,
you can increase weight by increasing speed.
But speed as the sole factor doesn’t equate.
So there is something more than speed.
What?
Intention to travel through a target.
Intention to deliver weight to the target.

What is Intention?
What you desire,
especially as evidenced, proven,
by a plan.

So when you train,
and especially when you do your forms,
pay a lot of intention to the plan of the form:
to increase body weight
by grounding your weight,
by aligning all body parts,
and so on.

And,
it goes without saying,
but I’ll say it anyway,
one of the goals of matrixing,
one of the plans of matrixing,
is to educate you as to the construction of your body
so that you can use it as one unit.

Man,
this will really build your intention,
and really increase the weight of your punch.

Remember,
it’s not power you seek,
but efficiency in transferring weight.
Odd concept,
but if you think it through
you’ll find the truth of the martial arts.

Here’s the course for the week.

knowledge is power!

Achieving the supernatural in kung fu

How to Have Supernatural Powers in the Martial Arts…

Supernatural in kung fu, refers to such things as reading minds, intuition, seeing when things are going to happen before they happen, And so on.

The reason people have such trouble in gaming this high level of martial arts is because of a basic misunderstanding of who and what they are.

kung fu training manual

Great book to start developing your kung fu super powers! Click on the cover!

The body is an envelope for the spirit.

The mind is just a bunch of memory.

The spirit is the source of all supernatural ability in the martial arts.

The misunderstanding comes when people attribute their abilities to mental powers.

Memory has no powers, memory obscures he human being, which obscures a being’s natural power. Natural ability, what a human being can do once memories are put aside is actually what we call supernatural kung fu.

Thus to say Power comes from mental abilities is completely the opposite of what they should be thinking.

Think of it this way, A person trains his body and this creates discipline in the soul. In effect it bypasses the mind, which is to say the memories, which come between a person and his true power and ability.

Understanding this one must apply this to the martial arts.

One memorizes movements, Which creates a short-term memory. One practices the movements until the memory disappears and intuition remains. The bonus is at the long-term memory tends to disappear to, Or at least to get out-of-the-way of the martial artist.

So you memorize to give up memory and what is left is the awareness, the Spirit, the human being, the ‘I am.’

When you give up memory, your own abilities come to the fore. These abilities, Based in such things as intuition, actually frighten normal people. That is why so many people give up the martial arts at the brown belt level, for that is the level at which a person breaks through to intuition.

Unfortunately, most systems no longer bring a person to the edge of intuition, or push him through to intuition.

This is why I created matrixing. It makes the martial arts faster, it makes the jump to intuition easier.

Instead of spending years trying to figure out the confusion created by a laborious memorization procedure, the student learns logical moves, builds up no internal resistance to the memorization procedure, and slides smoothly into intuition.

Check out monstermartialarts.com, and especially matrix karate. Even if you have done martial arts for years, even if you know dozens of martial arts systems, once you experience the logic of matrixing, all those systems Will start to make sense and come together in a manner which you didn’t envision.
