Quick Martial Arts Fix for Everybody!

Happy weekend!
Have a GREAT work out!
And,
I hope you have some small goal set for this summer.
That’s how you get the big ones,
you know.
You just set aside small goals,
do them one at a time,
and before you know it,
you’ve made it.
Like small colored belts up to the black belt.
One step at a time.
After a while  you become a different person.
A person who keeps going,
keeps taking steps
while others fall off to the wayside.

quick fix martial arts

I shoulda taken that karate class when I was a kid!

Now,
I came across a great ad today.
It was in my email box,
attached as an add on to a prepper newsletter I get.
Normally I trust these guys,
but when I saw the ad
I had to recalibrate.
Cancel city, here I come.
The ad,
you see,
was for the martial arts.

Oh,nothign wrong with martial arts ads,
they open doors,
but this ad was a repackaging of an old program.
Same thing advertised years ago.
same techniques,
same grainy tape.
But it’s the advertising tactics that got me.
For instance…

“Live without fear the rest of your life!”
I didn’t know I was in fear.
I suppose in high school I was in fear.
But soon as I left that snakepit…
no…
I’m not living in fear.

Another catch line they had was

‘Watch (this video) once,
practice it if you want,
use it tomorrow.’

So,
no study,
no practice,
and it will be usable.
Huh!

I say do my courses,
practice the crap out of them.
and they become workable.
But practice!
And,
may I point out
that practice is fun,
and not something you should sneer at,
as this ad does.

And,
my favorite,
there are special forces and SEALs and
all manner of terrorist killers
who praise this tape as the way they are alive today.

15 techniques,
that’s all,
and the baby will be safe and genetically sound.

I could go on for a few hours on this type of stuff,
but it is really counter productive.
So let me just say this…

Would you rather buy a quick fix,
that always includes
a kick to the pomegranates,
a poke to the eyes,
and a poke to the eyes
that will raise his hands
so you can kick him in the pomegranates?
Or would you rather buy a complete art?

They say 15 techniques
and you will be safe from all the convicts
drug dealing
rapists
murderer scum in the world.
I say you should forget the fairy tales,
and get to work.

Fancy talking vs your own hard work.

Now,
let me explain something,
what I do is an education.
What they do is make money.
Nothing wrong with making money,
making money is good,
as long as you are offering a solid product in exchange for it.

Let me explain something,
the structure of these ads goes like this.

Make the sucker like you,
as soon as he likes you scare him with a problem,
then offer him the solution to the problem for a slight fee.

That’s how it works.

Let me rewrite that for you…
Share your desires for a good home and a job you love until he knows he is just like you,
then tell him a burglar is going to break in and rape your girl and your dog,
and then sell him a burglar alarm system.

It doesn’t matter if the system is a bunch of empty cans you tie to a doorknob,
what matter is that you got his money.

Do you understand?

Now,
examine the structure of what I do.
You don’t have to like me.
There is a problem in the martial arts of education,
I offer that education.

Let me rewrite that for you.
I know that people are different,
I know that there are going to be people who don’t understand or like what I’m going to do,
that’s just the way the world works,
and I hope you understand that.

The martial arts have been mixed up,
crossbred,
dumbed down,
made into a Three Stooges fire drill,
and I have the method to fix that.

But,
you need to get some simple tools
and use them till they come out your ears.

Sure,
it’s a quick fix,
but only if you’re work intensive.
Yes,
you can earn a belt fast,
but if you think it’s going to be a gift,
you should go find one of those internet scammers.

Look,
I sell (for instance)
the Matrix Karate course.
The forms are arranged
so the techniques are in order,
and presented in two man format
so you get used to standing and facing and fighting.

But you are going to have to stand and face and fight,
or you are going to get nothing out of it!

And I present a handful of techniques,
but then I show you how to matrix them,
so they multiply like logical rabbits.
Within a few minutes that handful of techniques becomes
squared, then squared again,
and suddenly you have thousands of techniques,
but they are not illogical!
They make sense,
they fight together,
and they even fit together with other arts!

Do you have to do thousands of techniques?
No,
but you have to do the handful of techniques,
and understand the logic
and you have to do them until they come out your ears.

Anybody who thinks I don’t love the martial arts,
and that I have not sweated for ever 45 years,
is a fool.

This is not a quick fix,
this is an education.
And it is a VERY sad truth,
that nobody has this education.
It really is.

Let me tell you a secret.
I bruised for the first seven years.
Then I started figuring it out,
and I stopped bruising.
Yep.
My body actually doesn’t bruise.
Not hardly at all.
Rarely.
And,
here’s the funny thing,
if I don’t think about the technique,
if I let it out
even just a little,
the people I block get BIG bruises.

Now,
how can you get somebody to get that ability,
except through hard work and sweat and even a little blood?

But,
it’s all a matter of awareness,
of focusing awareness through doing the blocks enough,
until you become sufficiently aware of the body,
and then it just doesn’t bruise anymore.
Or,
other things can happen,
but bruises don’t.
Now,
the ONLY way to teach that,
is through hard work.

BUT,
if you make the hard work logical,
then you cut the time down
by half,
by four times.
Heck,
in some cases
you can cut training time down by ten.

But,
work,
focus awareness,
but logically,
that is my secret.

So,
if you think you can read once,
not practice,
and be a Navy SEAL tomorrow,
go for it.

But,
if you want to learn a complete martial art,
all the bells and whistles,
all the guts and trim,
all the joy and hard work…
then you have to be willing to get a course,
set up a few striking targets,
get a few friends over to the garage a few nights a week,
work out like a dog,
bruise and sweat,
AND HAVE SOME MOFO FUN!

There isn’t any other way.

Oinkey donkey,
I hope I’m preaching to the choir,
because I would hate to have my words wasted on Beavis and Butthead.

Now,
go through my arts,
pick the one you don’t know,
pick the one that will enhance your training.

If you know grappling and knees and elbows,
pick up Matrix Karate,
it will be fists and feet.

If you know Karate and pa kua,
if you know fists and feet and how to get arond somebody,
then pick up Shaolin Butterfly,
figure out how to angle in on the distance and close with somebody.
Then check out the Matrix Kung Fu so you can take ‘em down.

Look,
go to this page

http://monstermartialarts.com/martial-arts-articles/martial-arts-styles-are-all-the-same/

It shows you how to break the martial arts down,
and not in a cookie cutter approach,
but for yourself.
Do the table I show,
analyze your abilities at
hand, foot, knee, elbow, throw,
and then figure out what you need to make your art whole.
Heck,
write me an email if you find something confusing,
or if you aren’t sure which course will fix which distance.
But here’s a break down for you…

fists = matrix karate
feet = Power Kicks (a free bonus on the MAtrix Karate course)
knees and elbows = blinding steel.
(Yes, there is a short but sure matrix of knee and elbow training drills on that course)
stand up takedowns and throws = Matrix Kung Fu.

Just go through your art,
be honest about what you are lacking,
then fill in the pieces.

Could anything be easier?
Could anything be more logical?
I mean,
here are the keys to the kingdom!

Dopuble Oinkey Donkey.
I’m out of here.
Don’t mean to be abrupt,
but I have to see a man about a work out.
I’m the man,
and it’s my work out.
And you guys and gals…
enjoy the heck out of your own work out,
remember,
every form is a prayer.
So pray a lot,
and should that fight ever happen,
you will have a heaven of a chance.

How to Knock Somebody Out With One Punch

Secret of the One Punch Knock Out!

One of the reasons Karate waned while Mixed Martial Arts grew was that people couldn’t knock people out or even down with a Karate punch. This does not signify that Karate, or kung fu or other classical martial arts don’t work, it just means that the knowledge on how to knock a person out with one punch has been lost.

The above noted, if you want to knock somebody out with one punch, it is going to take a bit of work. Even Mohammad Ali (Cassius Clay), relied on luck for his famous ‘phantom punch,’ which knocked out Sonny Liston. But there is a precise technology to make this stunning knock out punch work. The technology is in the martial arts, but has largely been forgotten.

one punch

One Punch Knock Outs are Possible!

Back when I started Karate training, in the sixties, the knock out punch was known and sought by martial arts students. They practiced the technique endlessly. And, in the non contact tournaments of the time, when accidents happened and contact was actually made, people went down.

The actual physics of the punch are quite simple.

First, the the punch must be a snapping punch. The student should work as hard on the retraction of the fist as the explosion outward. The reasoning behind this was that if a punch was extended and left out, if it was a thrusting punch instead of a snapping punch, the force would come back down the arm.

But, if you throw a snapping punch, then the impact was left in the body, as the force didn’t have time to come back down the arm.

And that’s all there was to it! Uh, almost.

As simple as that sounds, it does take fanatical practice to make work, and there is one more element that a person should consider.

There was an incident on a university medical campus where a student had taken a cell culture and was walking across the campus. He stumbled, dropped the culture, and it broke on the ground. All the cells in that culture, of course, died. Oddly, all the cells in the original culture also died.

So cells are connected. Well, of course, anybody knows that. If somebody steps on your toe, your whole body reacts.

So, if somebody hits you on the outer layer of skin, but hard enough to jar the cells themselves, the whole body is going to react.

What we are talking about is depth of strike.

You don’t have to hit deep, as, again, the arm will absorb part of the shock of your punch. You just have to hit right, snapping, and with the intent to leave all the trauma in the cells. And, of course, it helps if you hit a sensitive area. Hit the jaw just right, with enough snapping force, there is going to be reaction, and the body is going to crumble. Hit the testicles, or an area in which a pressure point is located, and you are going to have success…your opponent is going to go down.

The problem is that people don’t trust this method unless they have trained long years in it. And, people lack the intention, the idea behind the punch, which is one of the things that long years of practice will build up in the student.

Anyway, whether you study karate or kung fu or any other classical martial art, that is how you knock somebody out with one punch.

And, if you don’t study the martial arts and want to knock somebody out with one punch…then maybe you should head down to check out your local karate class or kung fu class.

Karate Chop Cowboy Goes to a Gunfight and Wins!

Cowboy Karate Chop Break Burglars Brain!

Karate Chop is more powerful than a gun! Consider the tale of Ervin Brittnacher, who lives just outside Houston, Texas. He is a 79 year old Cowboy in in Texas. He is also a member of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame. One would think that such an oldster is past his prime, his martial arts would be weak, and he would be easy pickings for a criminal, right?

Wrong!

karate chop

Ervin Brittnacher

Late one night our Karate Chop cowboy heard his dog barking and got up to investigate. Opening the front door he found one Charles Smith standing there holding a gun.

Now Ervin had several choices. He could pick up one of his own guns, which stood conveniently next to the door, and blast a hole through the brisket of the burglar. But he decided to take a kindlier route, and did a karate chop to the side of the neck.

The young criminal immediately knew he was in trouble. He started blathering about his girlfriend being there.

Our cowboy actually invited the dope inside to see for himself!

And, end of the story, the police were also invited, and they took Charlie into custody, and to jail, where he was charged with attempted burglary.

Ervin Brittnacher had never taken Karate, or tae kwon do, or any other martial art, but he is a tough old bird and a natural karate punch, and a knowledge of how to dismember the human body. It didn’t take much for Ervin to put together the karate movies he had seen with what he had to do to defend himself!

Charlie Smith has also never taken martial arts, but he may want to take a karate lesson or two after he gets out of the hoosegow. Honestly, beaten up by an old man!

But that’s the power of the martial arts, and a karate chop, and that’s how one old cowboy took a karate chop to a gunfight and won!

This has been a page about taking a karate chop to a gunfight and coming out on top!

The Bruce Lee One Inch Punch and How to Do It So It Hurts!

The Bruce Lee One Inch Punch Real Secret is Explained!

The Bruce Lee One Inch Punch has taken on mythic proportions. People watch Bruce Lee movies, and then they look into the history Little Dragon, and when they see the famous Bruce Lee Punch their jaws drop and they think it can only be done by a super human.

The fact is, the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch can be done by anyone, if they are willing to understand some basic concepts and do a little hard work. Before we start, however, let me state that when you google Bruce Lee One Inch Punch you will find wikihow, and they will offer a five step explain on the thing. The problem is that the Wikihow description is for a Karate Punch! It’s not Bruce Lees Martial Arts at all!

bruce lee one inch punch image

Bruce Lee could do a push up on one finger, that certainly helped!

And, you will also find sites explaining the thing through an analysis of the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch power through brains scans, and all sorts of other things. You will also find people claiming, in spite of the Long Beach one inch punch video, that the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch video is fake! Can’t even believe their own eyes. Sheesh.

Okay, now you know where not to look, let me give the simple explanation in simple physics.

When you punch you must sink your weight into the ground, and lean slightly forward so that your body weight goes into the punch. Then it is all a matter of martial arts timing.

Yes, it is that simple. But, the one thing that nobody seems to want to understand, or even to say-and this is the real secret behind the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch-is that Jun Fan (his real Chinese name) studied classical Kung Fu!

It was his studies in Wing Chun that enabled him to do many of the things he did.

Now, it is true that it was his amazing work ethic, his 24/7 obsession with martial arts, that enabled him to translate that classical knowledge into something that worked. But the basic knowledge came from Classical Wing Chun Kung Fu.

I know this to be true because it was in my studies of Classical Karate, and I have seen it in virtually all other traditional martial arts.

The problem with people not being able to do what Bruce did is twofold. First, because the martial arts happened so fast in the United States and the world, much of the knowledge was lost, not passed on.

The second thing, of course, is that people don’t have the intense desire that Bruce Lee had.

That said, the simple description you have here is only one, little, teensy piece of the puzzle. It won’t do you any good unless you decide to learn, and commit yourself to studying the Martial Arts.

And, to insure that you are able to do such things as the One Inch Punch, the physics, the ‘secrets,’ have been resurrected and written down and put on video at Monster Martial Arts.

I know some people will tune this out, and think, yeah, scam, but let me explain a simple fact.

In ‘The Punch,’ just to mention one of the martial arts training programs, There are a hundred pages, and these one hundred pages detail the five ways of doing a martial arts punch, and the correct order.

That’s something that nobody knows. A complete step by step sequence of ALL the things necessary to a true martial arts punch.

Most martial arts instructors tell you to hit the bag, or have you strike air, or do your forms, and they never explain the things that are really happening. That’s not learning knowledge, that’s monkey see monkey do, and it will take you a lifetime to get where you are going!

Or, if you are lucky enough to actually find somebody who teaches an authentic and real and true martial arts system, they usually only know one system, or, at the very least, not enough systems to have the full range of knowledge that The Little Dragon had, and which enabled him to do his One Inch Punch.

So a lifetime of sweating and bleeding, and then you have to be pretty lucky and find the right system and not get waylaid by marriage and kids and education and career changes and car accidents and all of that sort of stuff…or just get the book, get the knowledge!…and simply do it!

Remember, the Secret of the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch is not just the simple three steps I have explained here, but the fact that he he had committed himself to learning ALL of the martial arts.

To find the real secrets behind the Bruce Lee One Inch Punch, and all the other amazing things he could do, go to The Punch!

Bruce Lee Workout Increases Strength and Power: Three Principles

Bruce Lee Work Out for More Power!

The Bruce Lee Workout I am describing comes from studies of about Bruce Lee, but is combined with research from other sources. There is data from bodybuilding exercises, weightlifting workouts, and so on.

Mind you, I call it the Bruce Lee Workout, but it comes from a variety of sources. many of which cropped up after his death, or were studies of his workout routines.

bruce lee workout

Bruce Lee used weight training, diet, and other factors to get this physique

There are three component parts to a Bruce Lee Workout.

The first deals with Bruce Lee Strength training. This is that weightlifting is the third best way of increasing strength. This is because when you weight lift you isolate the muscles. Yes, the muscles get bigger, but since the whole body is not being used, one will not get the tremendous speed of Bruce Lee.

bruce lee quote martial arts classical mess

Bruce Lee believed in simple Body Weight exercises!

The second principle associated with a Bruce Lee Workout deals with dynamic strength training, sometimes referred to as dynamic tension. This is when muscle works against muscle. This is a type of workout Bruce Lee liked, but didn’t always talk about. There are, however, Wing Chun exercises in which dynamic tension is present, or can easily be put in. The glory in these exercise routines is that the muscles, though they work against each other, do not isolate. They stay in a ‘group mode,’ and so one is able to use these exercises to achieve Bruce’s speed.

bruce lee wing chun exercises

Bruce did do weights, but his lack of mass puts them lower on his priorities

The third Bruce Lee workout principle holds that body calisthenics are the best method for increasing personal strength and power. While the Little Dragon did weights and dynamic tension, he also did Yoga and other body calisthenic exercises.

Tying all of the above together, of course, are things like the Bruce Lee diet, and other fitness concepts.

Thus, to make your own Bruce Lee Workout, one should do a lot of stretching, especially Yoga style. Then do light weight training. Light as one doesn’t want mass so much as definition and efficiency. Finally, the heavy stuff, body weight calisthenics.

And, though many people may object, especially in light of certain Bruce Lee quotes regarding classical martial arts, this author prefers classical martial arts for his body weight calisthenics. It is just more fun to do than simply lifting heavy metal plates, or other similar types of weight training. And, finally, more yoga to cool down and make sure the muscles relax after the work out.

So consider these points when you analyze your own body, what you want to get out of your training, what you think is fun, and then create your own Bruce Lee Workout.

How and Why Matrixing Will Work in Your Martial Art!

Learn a Martial Art in a matter of months!

A lot of people read my site, or articles on the web, and they raise their eyes and say, ‘Oh, right. A guy can learn a Martial Art in a few months? Ha!’

Lot of cynicism out there, and I understand it. Some fellow studies for years to learn Karate or learn Kung Fu or whatever, and I come along and say, ‘You could have learned it ten times faster.’

martial art

Don’t just look at the moon…BE the moon!

That guy is going to be upset! He’s going to think I’m full of it, just because if he doesn’t, then it invalidates all his years of training.

But, when somebody actually does matrix their martial art, and this works for Aikido and Kenpo and ALL other martial arts systems, then they find that I am not invalidating all they have done…I am making it count! I am organizing their data, making it more accessible, and that means their martial art is sharper, quicker, more intuitive…and so much more!

So how do I convince the doubter?

Try these facts on for size.

Take two pigeons and put them together for 6 weeks and they will mate for life.

6 weeks, and you cam MAKE a pea brain MAKE a life altering decision. Doesn’t even matter if Mrs. Pigeon is ugly.

Now this is a stupid fact, but it tends to open the door to facts more pertinent to you and the Martial Arts.

The US army takes a common, garden variety man or woman…and MAKES them into a soldier in three months. Another three months and we’re talking about a high tech soldier, able to use a computer, or some other complicated device, right in the middle of a firefight!

That’s a good fact. It speaks highly of dedicated, factual training.

Here’s another one: there are ads on TV that claim you can MAKE your body into a lean, mean muscle machine in three months. Three months and you no longer have a beer barrel, but, instead, have a six pack!

So the point here is this: if you are smarter than a pigeon, then you can change your mind and change your body in three months.

Or, in other words,

You can learn a martial art in a matter of months!

You don’t even have to believe! You just have to get a martial arts course and do it!

So now we come down to choice.

Do you want to sit around and tweet one liners…or do you want to join a brotherhood that has lasted for thousands of years…the brotherhood of the Martial Artist!

Do you want to be sweet meat for that home invader? That mugger? That guy who wants to take your girlfriend?

Do you want to watch Bruce Lee movies and think, ‘How cool!’ Or do you want to BE like Bruce Lee?

Okay. Nuff said. I hope I’ve changed your mind, gotten you to get up off the coach, inspired you to do something that will give your life value forever!

So take a look at this http://monstermartialarts.com site, check out the courses, and decide what you want to do.

Remember, the only person stopping you from being more than you…is you.

This has been a page about how to learn a martial art, and how you can learn them in a matter of a few months.

Teaching Martial Artists and the Inertia of Ignorance

The only thing that stops you from learning is…you

I should say the odd thing about teaching people, not just teaching martial artists. But the fact is…people refuse to accept information.

Let’s say you’re teaching Karate to some fellow. You can say something like ‘twisting the wrist on impact is dangerous. The joint is unstable and you are adding weight to it.’

teaching martial arts

Can you overcome ‘Inertia of ignorance’ and actually learn Martial Arts?

Now, this is a big thing, so many systems use the twisting wrist to teach newbies. But, they don’t teach the newbies why, or how to transition the technique to a more stable punch.

You see, the wrist is unstable, but it teaches people how to focus. Once they learn how to focus their strikes, they need to learn how to snap a vertical punch, or some other variation. But when you tell them that, they go into protest mode.

They shake their head, and continue doing what they are doing, and it is as if you never spoke.

It’s not the martial arts, it’s deeper, it goes to the person’s ability to listen, to actually process information.

That is, incidentally, why the martial arts are so important. Somebody disagrees, and you can show them on the mat. You can make them listen.

But, that doesn’t cure the person of not listening. Even somebody who has studied the martial arts for years has this problem. Here is the EXACT thing they think when you tell them something.

‘Oh, we have that in our system.’

They don’t say it, they just get this smug look on their face. But the truth is this: yes, they had it in their system, every system has everything, if you look far enough, BUT…they were not aware of it before you said it.

This problem, incidentally, I have given a name…‘The Inertia of Ignorance.’

Simply, people hang on to their ignorance. They protect it; they are not willing to admit it because, darn it, they think it will make them look stupid!

But holding on to your ignorance is what is stupid. If you don’t admit your were ignorant of something, then you can’t learn: your protection of your image as somebody who knows something stops you from learning something.

Do you understand?

Now, go ahead and read Monster Martial Arts. Hopefully, what you have read here has removed you from that attitude, and opened your skull to the input of new information. Because, I guarantee…the stuff you read on Monster, this Matrixing concept, has never been seen before. It is brand new material, not done by Bruce Lee, nor written down in Ninja scrolls, not anything.

Brand New, and that makes it very difficult for people who are more concerned with their image of worldliness than their desire to learn martial arts.
