Great Martial Arts Movies!

For a Chop Sockie Big Time!

I love a good martial arts movie. I remember the first movie to hit the American shores: Five Fingers of Death. To this day I remember with fondness the trampoline kicks and the glowing hands.

Enter the Dragon holds up to this day. Bruce may be the quintessential martial artist, but Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, and a host of others are better than him physically, and the stunts have far surpassed those old times.

The BEST martial arts movie is probably ‘The Raid.’ Start to finish a chop sockie of epic proportions.

This week I watched The Furious, and I was gladdened. It won’t be long before movies such as this surpass even The Raid.

In The Furious a man’s daughter is kidnapped, and he goes on the hunt. First he finds the garbage truck which is transporting her, and he gets in a massive fight that takes place in alleys and on the back of the garbage truck.

Then he goes to the police station, but he’s a mute! Can’t describe much, and the police, as you might guess, are in on the human trafficking.

So he tracks down the culprits himself, and a massive fight in a bar ensures. For a moment it looks like he’s going to lose, but then he pulls out that old, trusty, Martial Arts weapon: the balpeen hammer!

But just when he is about to win he gets in a fight with a fellow who happens to be one of the good guys. They inflict mayhem on each other without knowing they are on the same side, and then the meanest, toughest, baldest baddest guy in the world shows up…

AND THAT’S JUST THE FIRST FIFTEEN MINUTES!

I saw the movie on Tubi, which, as you know, is FREE!

So go for it. Feast your eyes on this gem and get inspired!

Okay, I apologize, I know it’s bad of me, but…I got to sell something! So here’s the obligatory advertisement. When violence isn’t enough and you need a bit of technique…

Neutronic Wisdom: When you get mad you’re really only getting mad at yourself. Figure this out and your life will be filled with peace.

Thanks for being martial artists, and may the Matrix be with you.

Have a great work out!
